Cottage trees

Woke up from a two hour nap and proceeded to write my grocery list. This is what came out when I started. I think I should have fallen back asleep at this point. Cheesey.

Saturday dim sum and then some

Had my occasional dim sum day with Kerry and drove past this place along the way. Love that they left out the R in Karma. I felt less than compelled to go see the love specialist who can't spell. Namaste.

Arts District Block Party

This is the glass artwork in the cafe at the DMA. Walked around the arts district with cute boy and enjoyed the weather and all the goings-on. Love the museums.

My skate, my peace

I love skating in the evenings at the lake. Awesome.

My piece of peace

Moments of peace. Quiet. TV off. Making cranes. Sounds of summer outside. Reading about human potential. Nice evening. Love.

Bummer. Luckily the light popped back in. Small dent noted.

Kiddo strikes a pose

Fun with sculptures

He's big and he's metal and he's fun. He's the traveling man and he reigns over Deep Ellum. Fantastic!

My niece came out this weekend. Thoughtful, beautiful, sweet and prone to ask interesting questions. This weekend she asked if God would create a rock too big to roll. Hmmm.

Atty and the sink

And the funny thing is that sometimes the water is not on and he's doing this. Weirdo.

Rollin' it out, baybee!

Back on the rollerblades...sweatin' as an oldie. Man, its hot in Texas right now.

A bangin' good time

Well, today was an interesting day.  Unexpectedly, I decided to go with my mom and sister to the gun range for a little bonding time.  Odd, I know.  My first time in a gun range and my first time to shoot a gun.  Not exactly on my bucket list, but I'm glad I did it.  Turns out I did pretty good.  If you'll notice in the photo to the right, I hit the center circle...and not once, but twice!  I managed to shoot the same spot twice...imagine that!!  I made the hole a bit bigger with the second shot.  It was an odd feeling.  Not so sure I like firing a was a little disconcerting.  That, and it was hot in there AND there was a little too much taxidermy action in the whole place for my liking, but I was able to use my NRA handshake on one of the employees.  Where else can I do that? Bangin' good time.

Talented niece...

Here's my niece.  She showed me something she put together from my paper supplies.  Talented, cute kiddo. Very proud of her!
