Sunday longday
Well I must confess that I didn't take a photo today. Work. Tired. So I leave you with this little piece of artform from last night.

Life is like a box of chocolates (covered strawberries)
Except not...because you're pretty much going to get the same thing each time you bite into it. Look what the cute boy made me. Isn't that sweet (no pun intended)? Deee-lishous!

Kuh-reeped out
I don't get creeped out by dolls. However, these made me crinkle my nose. Do you get creeped out by dolls? Can I get a show of hands?

Waving the black flag
Another great show by Henry Rollins tonite! The man talks without a comma. While he said a lot of good stuff, my favorite had to be "...all everyone really wants is a day without fear and a fist full of fifties." Good times.

Fostering smiles
Prepping for the party this weekend. Showing off smiles. Hoping to raise some funds for Operation Smile. If not, I still have lots to smile about. Lucky me.

Paper flock
The first batch of cranes that I haven't personally folded...thanks Jenny Smith. I love them all flocked together.

The mini and the man
Good weekend...with the man, in the mini. I drive a circle and he drives a square. A match made in..who knows. But it works. Good times.

My day of birth
I know...what does this photo have to do with my day of birth? Only my idea of heaven. At my favorite restaurant with my favorite book of the moment and my favorite dessert and favorite cup of hot chai tea. Celebrating my day of birth. Yay me.

Ashy Wednesday and the pretty lights
A miracle occurred today...at least my mother would think so. I went to mass today at lunch. A good message and great photo ops. Peace be with you. And you. And you. And me.

The mawwwl
Was this weekend "National Go To the Mall Weekend?" Really, people? After a couple of days of snow, doncha want to be outside in the sunshine and not in the mall? Of course, there I was too....in the mawl...but I (ahem) had a reason.

Now that's advertising
I thought it appropriate to film the snow coming down in front of an advertisement for snow-worthy attire. Still, I was not tempted to go into the store and buy the lovely pink parka. It will certainly be 80 degrees tomorrow. This is Texas, after all, and I'm a tough customer.

Vandalism for dummies
Yeah, so I've had an emotionally intense day and it shows. This happened accidentally at dinner. I had a witness.

Birds of a feather...
Birds of a feather...apparently watch traffic together. Notice the usual drill team spacing is off on the first and second rows. Something must be amiss. Its a jungle out there.

Read the signs
Ya think they've had burglary issues? Hmmm...well, they certain have given fair warning. My favorite, though, is the courtesy. No, thank you!

Eat it, em dash!
Em dash, I loathe your very existence. What are you anyway? Nothing more than an advanced dash in my mind. I hear you snicker everytime I forget how to create you in Quark. Wikipedia explains you as thus:
The em dash (—), or m dash, m-rule, etc., often demarcates a parenthetical thought—like this one—or some similar interpolation. It is also used to indicate that a sentence is unfinished because the speaker has been interrupted.Whatever. Die em dash. Your purpose matters not.
Hey mister
This nice gentleman let me take his photo at Subway today. He was a friendly chap. I see him in my work neighborhood quite often. By sheer coincidence, his name just happens to be on the outside of my office building and on company letterhead. Fancy that.

Hangin' around, nothing to do but frown
Rainy days and Mondays always get me down. Oh and busy Wednesdays. Except for that hour I spent having lunch with a dear friend. And that 15 minutes I spent in a red mini with a cute boy, a flower and a strawberry. And a kiss. Maybe rainy days aren't so bad after all.

Sherry sees her shadow
German tradition holds that if a hibernating animal sees its shadow on Feb. 2 — the Christian holiday of Candlemas — winter will last another six weeks. If no shadow is seen, legend says spring will come early.
Okay, so why a groundhog? Why not a moose in Canada or a bear in some faraway forest...although I guess it has to be a hibernating animal so the moose is out. But why Pennsylvania? Why not Arkansas or Balch Springs? Why not Dallas, Texas...where I saw my shadow today at lunch. Doesn't winter last longer in Minnesota than in Texas no matter what the groundhog says? If Phil sees his shadow, who does he tell? What if somebody is standing over him casting their shadow...then what? I'm just sayin...watercooler talk today. Pathetic, huh.
